travel, writing, etc.

I've been in Austin for the last few days on a last-minute unplanned road trip. I will go into details later as to why I was there later, but I really enjoyed the short amount of time I was there. Of all the cities I have been to, Austin seems like the ultimate place for hardcore cinephiles. The fact that one theater has a weekly Saturday matinee screening of Takashi Miike movies should give you some kind of idea of what we're talking about.

I have been so focused on work for the past few weeks that it was good to get some fresh scenery and blow the cobwebs out of my brain. While I was there I got a lot of writing done on Skeleton City which is designed to be an ultra-low budget quickie with very limited sets. If at all possible, I want to shoot it over 2-3 weekends with a few Sex Machine people. This project will allow me to work on a few things that I didn't get a chance to with Sex Machine.

Upcoming stuff... Shogo is working on an anthology project that I am looking forward to directing a segment of... I will also be helping him out and doing post on a short film he is going to shoot in April or May... American Boyfriends video needs to be wrapped up this weekend... we also bid on a documentary project and there may be a horror project to be shot in Mexico...

Lot's of cool things in the works. The coolest is something i can't really mention right now. But stay tuned.
