an omen

Edit-a-thon 2004 continues. Here are a few frames from a sequence I am working on. Comic book designed by Cowboy himself.

This sequence actually has a lot more significance than it might seem at the moment. In another few months you'll know what I'm talking about.

Sheridan's van gets punched

We shot this scene a few months ago behind Sheridan's bike store. This is Sheridan's actual van that is used in the movie and he had it up for sale for quite awhile. As luck would have it, he finally sold it right in the middle of production. This is the last day we could use the van and Sheridan was starting to get a little paranoid something might happen to it before he actually delivered it to the guy. This scene called for Frank (John) to punch the dashboard in frustration. As I was editing this, I found Sheridan's expression hilarious as he takes a split second to make sure his dashboard hasn't been fractured by John's monster punch.

I consider Sheridan my most inspired piece of casting. The role of Owen was a tough one to cast, so who better than your friendly neighborhood bike store owner/video store clerk/mandolin player. He has done an amazing job and his scenes are a blast to edit. You will see what I mean when you see the finished movie.

Sorry for the lack of updates

It's Christmas Eve and I am editing.

All seems quiet on the internet. No e-mails. Nobody on iChat.

The bowling scene is coming together a lot better than I thought it might.

Tomorrow is family stuff and drinks at the library.

I'm freezing.
